Accountant

I grew up  in northeast Russia, the small city of Lensk in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The city,  on the left bank of the Lena River, can be insanely cold in winter, and I remember many times going to school in – 45 ° C! Childhood was fun, despite the winter cold, and we spent huge amounts of time outside.

We went camping in the Taiga all year round, although I now understand that we could have be attacked by wild bears, typical inhabitants of the Russian taiga, at any time!….

I later moved to Moscow, where I was educated as an Economist. After working as an accountant in various sectors, I joined Albion’s Moscow team, helping with accounting, taxation, and of course, accounting for foreign transactions.

I am a keen baker, and in my free time, love to make all sorts of different confectionery, gingerbread biscuits, tarts, macaroons, cakes. Another hobby is needlework, and I can spend hours, creating new patterns; I am becoming quite good at sewing! I am also a big fan of handmade jewelry.

Travel inspires me, and I have often gone away with friends. I always try to immerse myself in the culture of the country I am in, studying the history, and learning a bit about the place. I love experimenting with different cuisines, and I always try to learn at least a few words to find my way around.

In my free time, I also enjoy listening to audiobooks or watching science fiction, dystopia, detective stories and historical novels.
