Lorraine MontgomeryLorraine Montgomery, Head of Certification and Compliance

I have spent the majority of my career working in the world of Advertising and so it was quite an unorthodox, some might say mad, decision to come to work for Albion Overseas. However, my experience in working closely with clients to build relationships has given me the skills that Albion was looking for.

I joined as a freelance consultant back in 2008.  I have since come up through the ranks and after 8 years, now head up the Product Certification department.

Favourite thing about working here? The variety of projects I work on. There are some really interesting products being exported to Russia and the Customs Union

Worst thing? The boss is a tyrant!!

New Russian law tightens the procedure for putting medicines on the market and complicates ending distribution agreements

From 29 November 2019, medicines for human use will no longer be put on the market based on declarations of compliance and certification. More complex quality control requirements will be introduced. Pharmaceutical companies will have to submit documents on the quality of each batch of medicines to the Russian pharmaceutical regulator (Roszdravnadzor), conduct tests of the first three batches produced or imported and periodically submit test reports of batches of any medicine put into circulation.
